How Not to Train: Common Training Mistakes and How to Avoid Them

Summary:

Almost every industry has a training requirement. The requirement may be as simple as orientation for new hires or as specific as licensure or certification. Often, those charged with training responsibilities have no formal experience, resulting in inconsistent outcomes. An understanding of learning styles, personal filters, and language barriers can aid the training function and improve results. In addition, the manner of training and the training environment have a direct impact on understanding and retention of materials. This seminar addresses adult learning styles, appropriate training methods for mixed audiences and some common training mistakes to avoid.
