TurnKey to Highlight Wide Breadth of Sessions

Register now for the 2008 TurnKey Conference to be held April 17-18, 2008 in Baltimore, Maryland.

Those looking to build or renovate a lab animal facility will want to check out the 2008 TurnKey Conference brochure, http://www.turnkeyconference.com/conference_sessions.asp

All experts in their fields, the speakers range from architects, lab planners, and engineers to facility managers, environmental health and safety officers, and directors – many with decades of experience.

Twenty-eight sessions over two days will be presented, allowing a range of topics and choices for attendees.

TurnKey will once again feature a half day session on AAALAC accreditation covering common facility deficiencies found during AAALAC site visits and ways to prevent them as well as a review of what AAALAC site visitors expect when they visit a biocontainment facility. Those interested can also sign up for private one-on-one consultations with AAALAC staff.

This year’s program will also feature a workshop on preparing a biocontainment facility for certification. Commissioning expert, Dan Frasier, PE, from Cornerstone Commissioning, will conduct this seminar focusing on the elements and processes that owners need to consider during planning and execution to minimize the burden associated with certification with the CDC, USDA, and other organizations.

Topics include:

Several leading institutions, including Duke University Medical Center, Lovelace Respiratory Research Institute, Cornell University, University of Wisconsin, Baylor College of Medicine, and Indiana University School of Medicine will share their recent projects – many BSL-3 and ABSL-3.

Take a few minutes to read through the Turnkey Conference program. I think you’ll agree that it’s a must attend event for those building or considering building. Complete information, including registration and hotel, is available at our website, www.turnkeyconference.com.
