ALN Europe™: New International Publication for Animal Science Professionals

January 2008 brings the launch of ALN Europe™ Magazine (www.alneurope.com), sister publication to ALN Europe™. ALN Europe™ will contain timely and informative articles, product announcements, editorials, and news that have come to be the hallmark of the U.S.-based ALN Europe™ but with a focus on the topics of interest to the European laboratory animal science community.

A group of seasoned industry professionals are leading the effort to bring this type of information to lab animal professionals in Europe and Australia & New Zealand. Michael Pelosi, Associate Publisher and Sales Director, brings over 30 years of experience serving the animal science industry as President and CEO of three successful companies — the most recent being Tecniplast USA (TUSA), a subsidiary of Tecniplast S.p.a., a world leader serving the laboratory animal science community.

Pelosi has this to say about the new magazine: “ALN has been a tremendous success in the U.S. It is my vision and privilege, along with my colleagues, to now expand and further promote education and information throughout Europe and Australia in the biomedical research community. Our new subscriber base will now have access to the same network of information as our current readers do, sharing together, as this growing worldwide community works hand-in-hand to improve the quality of life for all.”

Joining Michael on the ALN Europe™ team is Executive Editor Jim Wallace, an industry consultant, with over 40 years experience. Jim’s extensive background in the laboratory animal science field will guide the magazine’s content and commitment to serve its readership.

“I am very pleased to be associated with this new initiative to bring a successful North American magazine format to a European audience,” said Wallace. “A major attraction of the ALN magazines’ format is the information interface they provide between those involved in the management and operation of laboratory animal facilities, equipment and service suppliers, and those involved in design and build. Europe possesses enormous reserves of information and experience in the management and operations of laboratory animal facilities. ALN Europe™ hopes to provide a platform to allow industry professionals to share information on contemporary issues both by free subscription and through published articles.”

ALN Europe™ subscribers will not only receive a copy of the print publication but will have access to the information and archives available at www.alneurope.com. The pages of ALN Europe™ will feature articles and other editorial originating from within Europe and Australia. Equipment, technology, operations, and design/build specific to laboratory animal facilities will also be covered.

Subscriptions are FREE and open to qualified laboratory animal professionals, including facility directors, veterinarians, architects, scientists, technicians, consultants, and other key research animal staff.
