The purpose of a Training Needs Analysis is to determine what training, if any, is needed and who needs it. It focuses on the organization, the tasks, and the individuals. Proper assessment provides the information necessary to develop appropriate training for the organization and the staff, based on organizational goals and the knowledge, skills, attitudes, and abilities (KSA) of the employees in relation to the jobs they perform.
