TurnKey Roundtables Announced
ALN® Magazine has announced the topics for its new Breakfast Roundtables at the 2008 TurnKey Conference. Breakfast Roundtables offer participants the opportunity to meet with experts and leaders in the laboratory animal field in a relaxed and informal setting. Moderated by vendor experts, each roundtable will be limited to ten participants to allow for good discussion over the 20-30 minutes allowed.

It is now possible to combine traditional respiratory mechanics with wireless intra-thoracic pressure in one data collection platform. By combining implantable telemetry with traditional hardwired instrumentation, DSI can provide an integrated solution for measuring respiratory mechanics and cardiovascular parameters in a single conscious animal preparation. This method allows researchers to measure chamber flow, intra-thoracic pressure, and ECG in conscious animals to allow for compliance and resistance calculations between the two signals.
