Conference to Address Aquatic Systems Upturn
The upcoming 2008 TurnKey Conference, an annual event that targets professionals who are building or renovating laboratory animal facilities, will take place April 17-18, 2008, in Baltimore, MD. I thought it would be worthwhile to share some thoughts on some technical issues related to containment facilities that are not always clearly understood by either the design or science communities. A comment in a recent article that loss of airflow in a containment laboratory poses a danger to the researcher in the lab made me remember one of the first encounters I had with the issue of how much protection comes from directional airflow within a containment room.
